Based on the assessment by your healthcare
professional, your wound is being treated with Jianda Foam Dressing and is
suitable for self-care. Of course, you will still receive ongoing support from
healthcare professionals until the wound heals.
Self-care of your wound can enhance your
confidence in and understanding of your condition, as well as improve your
quality of life and the convenience of care. This guide is designed to help you
achieve these benefits through the use of Jianda Foam Dressing.
All wounds heal in the same way. First, new
red granulation tissue gradually forms and accumulates from the base of the
wound. Then, new skin grows from the edges of the wound and covers the red
granulation tissue.
Your wound will heal as quickly as possible
if you create optimal conditions for the growth of new tissue. It is important
to keep the wound clean, warm, and moist. This wound management approach is
called moist wound healing, and an appropriate dressing can help
you achieve this.
It is crucial that you never "let the
wound dry out on its own" or move around without a dressing applied. Doing
so may delay wound healing or increase the risk of infection.
Remember! If
your healthcare professional recommends leaving the dressing in place for a
certain period, do not remove the dressing early unless advised to change it
due to significant wound exudate. This dressing also acts as a protective
barrier against bacteria and external environmental factors.
Jianda Foam Dressing is a sterile,
single-use foam dressing with a silicone adhesive layer. Once used, the
dressing must be discarded and must not be reused. It can remain in place for
up to 7 days, depending on the amount of wound exudate, the condition of the
dressing, and the type of wound.
